Senior Supplier Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities: <br>1. Perform supplier audits, assessments, and sources inspections and is responsible to help Zebra assess if suppliers should be approved, require corrective action or disqualified. <br>2. Improve material quality, ensure proper drawings and requirements are communicated to the supplier and that the supplier has the process capabilities to satisfy the critical-to-quality characteristics for the component. <br>3. Updates supplier's records with results of visits to and from suppliers. <br>4. Responsible for ensuring that his/her Commodity material is properly dispositioned in MRB reviews (WIP and Incoming Inspection) and initiation of proper corrective action and effective supplier feedback. <br>5. Develop supplier processes through process, product and/or tooling validations and provide assistance, conduct supplier review meetings and supplier training. <br>6. Responsible for the First Article approval of components (parts, assemblies, subsystems and outsourced products). <br>7. Use statistical process control and capability studies in assessing supplier processes and capabilities. <br>8. Develop our supplier materials and processes to increase the number of parts that are Dock-to-Stock. Must lead this effort and increase the number of parts Dock-to-Stock to meet our company goals. <br>9. Create Material Inspection Instructions (MII's) to support Receiving Inspection and align the inspections methods between our suppliers and our company. <br>10. Provide our suppliers effective feedback and work with them constructively to improve their performance levels. <br>11. Ensure we support Manufacturing and timely address non comforming material so as to not negatively impact production schedules. <br>12. Supply Manufacturing with timely investigations, containment, root-cause analysis and permanent solutions for non comforming material WIP quality issues. <br>13.
